44th District Interact Conference 2012

Our Interactors attended the 44th DIC that was held on 29th November to 2nd December 2012 in Eagle Ranch Resort, Port Dickson. It was organized by the Rotary International District 3300, and was hosted by the Rotary Club of Senawang this year.

We met Interactors and Rotaractors from different schools and colleges from many states, and this conference has certainly helped us develop confidence and gained leadership and interacting skills in many ways. The speakers for the talks were really good and it was such an honor to have the queen of Negeri Sembilan to attend the opening ceremony and the prince to give a short talk. We were grouped into several groups and were seperated for the rooms. It was a fun conference and we all had a great time mixing with and meeting Interactors from different schools under different rotary clubs.

 

It was a great experience to all our Interactors that attended. We all came home exhausted and tanned (I even got a sunburn haha) on Sunday. Nevertheless we all had fun and befriended many friendly Interactors from all over the country.

We also managed to sell quite an amount of button badges throughout the DIC. The badges designs will be posted soon and will be opened for ARGS Interactors to order and purchase.

Recycle!

Hello there! On the 8th of November 2012, the Interact Club of ARGS has finally cleared out all the recycling items in the Interact room. For the past few months, the club has been collecting recycling items such as old newspaper, plastic bottles and aluminium cans around the school to raise fund as well as taking a step to help keep our planet green. 

I would like to personally thank the Interactors who stayed back and help out namely Amanda, Elizabeth, Wei Wei, Yee Leng and Zhuo Wen. 

Recycling is very important as waste has a huge negative impact on the environment. Therefore, we should all start to inhabit a healthier planet by recycling.

44th District Interact Conference

Hello!

The Rotary Club of District 3300 will be sponsoring three of our Interactors to join the Interact Conference this year. The conference is held every year to provide leadership training and motivation and team building.

This year's conference, that is going to be hosted by the Rotary Club of Senawang, will be on 29th November (Thursday) to 2nd December (Sunday) at Eagle Ranch Resort, Port Dickson. We are taking KTM from KL Central to Seremban, and buses are provided from Seremban to Port Dickson.
The registration ends by 15th of November so please let me know if you are interested as soon as possible. I've emailed the application form for the conference to all the BODs, and if anybody else wants to join please contact me at 0176829750

BOD Term 2012/13 Installation After Party!

So last night we had our BOD Installation after party yesterday at Kampung Warisan! It was pretty amazing, the food our interactors brought was superb (and waaaay too much, so many leftovers). We went swimming and played games, got complained by the residents for being too loud but it was all worth it. Overall it was just great and all the seniors and juniors had fun (well i hope all of you did!)

Chubby Bunny

(Its this game where you have to take turns to stuff marshmallows in your mouth and say 'chubby bunny'. the one with the most marshmallows in their mouth wins. We have got four winners, since we ran out of marshmallows, but Amanda was the first in the circle and she got one more than the other three so she called herself the winner. Thirty nine marshmallows!)

And good luck to one of our ex-presidents Roxanne Chong (term 2010/11) who flew to US last week to further her studies, the club members would love to wish you all the best in the future, dont forget to come back to visit us in school once in a while, eventhough you wouldnt be able to come back for any future IU days but thats alright, good luck Roxanne!
